First time using Barts shaving soap. By far the best I've tried. Lathers really well, gives a really smooth shave and great smell. Comes in a screw top tin which is perfect for storing and travelling
Absolutely lovely stuff - smells great, lathers up well and left me with a really close shave without any irritation (despite my sensitive skin).
Only tiny negative comment would be that I think it would be better to have a deeper tin for the soap to give a little more room for the lather. That said, will definitely be ordering more. Brilliant product.
Tried everything under the sun always get a sore face after shaving with a DE razor. Used Bart’s soap and after shave balm with a Parker variant razor and Astra blades. Perfect combination face feels great no soreness will buy again

I have previously bought and was very happy with the Ben Macdui after shave balm so was interested to try the shaving soap when it was released. It is a great product - nice aroma and lathers well to facilitate a really good shave. Packaging is smart and it is easy to use when travelling. I love the uniquely styled presentation of both the moisturiser packaging and bottle itself, so would certainly make for a nice gift to anyone.
The performance is exactly as I expect from Bart's in that very little goes a very long way, and tonight, I used it as an aftershave balm meets moisturiser, and the result was a beautiful non-greasy smooth to the touch finish.
The fragrance is their 'Ben Nevis' which is based on Creed Aventus, and in the shave set-up tonight, used a sample of their as yet to be released shaving soap in the same fragrance.

Bought this purely after buying the Ben Nevis Shaving Balm and wishing I could get the aroma it in a cologne (au de parfum) and realising you do just that.

So great to add another scent to my Bart’s aftershave collection. A great idea to do a special edition and I do hope Bart will do more. Ben Lomond is a light and sumptuous balm with a delicate and delightful aroma.
A good shaving soap, economical to use, well presented. Lathers well even in hard water.

I’ve been using Bart’s stuff for a few years now and honestly won’t use anything else , I shave with an array of vintage Sheffield and Solingen straight razors and need a good post shave lotion , moisturiser and lubricating shaving soap, which is why I use his products . The shaving soap gives a really good lather especially if a little hot water is put into the tin pre lathering up , his argon oil post shave lotion and moisturiser leaves my skin super soft like no other product I’ve used (and I’ve used a few !). His prices are on the money for the high quality gear he supplies too, so no complaints there . I’ve recently got my son (26) and father (85) using his stuff as they both wet shave , it’s honestly the best on the market, try it you’ll not be disappointed.
